Home Improvement

ORLANDO, Fla., December 28, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE), Franchise Group, Inc. (“Franchise Group”) announced today that it had acquired FFO Home (“FFO Home”), which is a regional retailer for furniture and mattresses. Over 30 FFO Home stores across the Midwest will soon be rebranded as American Freight Furniture Mattress and Appliance. FFO Home customers will automatically be redirected to American Freight’s website for online ordering. Converted stores will be able to offer lower prices, new product offerings and financing options that will better serve local consumers. During the conversion, stores will still be open and functional. The Grand Reopening Event for the rebranded stores will take place in the first quarter 2021.

“The FFO Home acquisition will allow American Freight to accelerate growth plans, including new markets entries,” stated Brian Kahn, CEO, Franchise Group, Inc. “It provides customers that used to shop at FFO Home an enhanced customer experience, along with additional products and payment methods.”

The core American Freight products and services will remain available as the stores rebrand. This includes the addition of appliances. Customers will be able to receive same-day delivery on in-stock products. American Freight will keep quality items affordable for everyone by offering flexible payment options online and in-store.

American Freight President and CEO Will Powell said, “We are thrilled about the FFO Home purchase.” This acquisition allowed us to rapidly enter new markets and keep local jobs, which would have been lost if FFO Home stores were permanently closed. It was a win-win situation for American Freight as well as the communities that we will now be able to serve.
